Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers about choosing, installing and owning a Marquis gas fireplace.
Do you install the Marquis fireplaces you sell?
Yes. Heat Savers handles the whole job: a free in-home estimate, choosing the right Marquis model and venting, installation by our own certified team, and service afterwards. We work across Greater Victoria and the Capital Region.
What does an in-home estimate involve?
A HeatSavers specialist visits your home, looks at the room, the wall or existing fireplace and the gas and venting options, then recommends the Marquis models that suit the space. You get a written quote for the fireplace and installation, and the estimate is free.
Are Marquis fireplaces made in Canada?
Yes. Marquis fireplaces are designed and built in Canada and are certified for Canadian codes and climates.
Do Marquis fireplaces run on natural gas or propane?
Every Marquis fireplace, insert, stove and outdoor model is available for natural gas or propane. We confirm the right fuel and gas line for your home during the estimate.
Can a Marquis insert go into my old wood-burning fireplace?
In most cases, yes. The Capella and Capri inserts are made to fit inside an existing masonry or factory-built fireplace and vent through the chimney with a liner. We check the fit and the chimney condition during the estimate.
Will a Marquis gas fireplace work during a power outage?
Many Marquis models use an ignition system that can keep the fire going without household power, which makes them a dependable heat source during winter storms. Fans and accent lighting need power. Ask us which models do this.
What is the difference between single-sided, see-through and multi-sided?
A single-sided fireplace has one glass face. See-through models such as the Bentley ST show the fire to two rooms, and multi-sided models such as the Atrium and Enclave give a corner, bay or peninsula view of the flame.
How long does installation take?
A straightforward insert or stove is often finished in a day, while a new zero-clearance fireplace with framing and finishing takes longer. Your written estimate includes a realistic schedule.
Do you service Marquis fireplaces after installation?
Yes. We offer annual servicing, repairs and genuine Marquis replacement parts, and we help you with warranty questions. Regular service keeps your fireplace running safely and efficiently.
